We take factual accuracy seriously. Here is how to report errors and how we respond.
Found a factual error, outdated cost figure, or broken citation? Email us with the page URL, the incorrect statement, and your source if available. We aim to acknowledge reports within 2 business days and correct verified material errors within 48 hours.
How to report
- Note the page URL and the specific sentence or statistic
- Include a primary source link if you have one (IICRC, EPA, carrier bulletin, etc.)
- Contact us via /contact with subject "Correction request"
What we correct
- Factual errors in guides, cost data, insurance explanations, or research statistics
- Outdated regulatory or standard references (IICRC revisions, NFIP changes)
- Broken or incorrect external citation links
- Clarifications when language could mislead homeowners on YMYL topics
We do not change editorial opinions or contractor referral practices based on payment.
