Sanitary water from broken supply lines, melting ice, or rainwater — lowest health risk.
Category 1 water originates from a sanitary source and poses no substantial health risk. Examples: broken supply lines, toilet tanks, melting snow. Category 1 can escalate to Category 2 within 24-48 hours if left untreated.
